Refund policy
Due to the personalized and custom-made nature of our brooches, we do not offer refunds. Each brooch is crafted specifically for you based on the pet photo you provide, making it a unique, one-of-a-kind item. Once an order is placed and the creation process has begun, it cannot be canceled or refunded. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns before placing your order.
Use of finished piece
By ordering a custom brooch from Santa Mieriiga, you acknowledge and agree that Santa Mieriiga retains the right to use images of the finished piece for marketing, promotional, and portfolio purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, showcasing the piece on our website, social media platforms, and in other promotional materials.
Your privacy is important to us, and no personal information will be shared alongside the images without your explicit consent. If you prefer that images of your specific piece not be used, please notify us in writing at the time of your order.
Reference photos
When submitting reference photos for your custom brooch, please be aware of the following:
Ownership and permission:
By submitting a photo, you confirm that you either own the image or have obtained the necessary permissions from the copyright holder to use it for the purpose of creating a custom brooch. Santa Mieriiga is not responsible for verifying the ownership of submitted photos.
Use of reference photos:
We respect your privacy and understand the importance of your pet photos. We will not use or share your submitted reference photos on our website, social media, or for any marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit consent. If you agree to allow us to use your photos, we will seek your permission in writing before doing so.
Lost or stolen packages
We take great care to ensure your custom brooch reaches you safely. All packages are shipped with tracking information to provide peace of mind and allow you to monitor the delivery process.
Lost packages:
If your package is lost in transit, we will do our utmost to assist in locating it. Please contact us immediately if your package is delayed or appears to be lost. We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Stolen packages:
Once the package is marked as delivered, Santa Mieriiga is no longer responsible for its safety. If you believe your package has been stolen after delivery, we recommend contacting your local police to report the theft. Unfortunately, we cannot replace or refund items that have been stolen after delivery.
Customs and import taxes
Please be aware that when ordering from Santa Mieriiga, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees that may be applied by your country’s customs authorities.
Customs charges:
Customs fees and import taxes vary widely depending on the destination country and the value of the goods. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs and are the responsibility of the customer.
Delays due to customs:
Occasionally, customs processing may cause delays beyond our control. We advise customers to be aware of their country's customs policies before placing an order. Santa Mieriiga is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
Refusal to pay customs fees:
If you refuse to pay the customs fees and the package is returned to us, please note that due to the custom-made nature of our brooches, we do not provide refunds. You will be responsible for any return shipping costs. We strongly recommend reviewing your country’s customs policies and potential fees before placing an order.
Sketch process and approval
At Santa Mieriiga, we strive to ensure that your custom brooch perfectly captures your vision. To achieve this, we follow a detailed sketch process:
Initial consultation:
After receiving your order, we will contact you to discuss your specific wishes, preferences, and any details you want to be included in your custom brooch. This helps us understand your expectations and tailor the design to your needs.
Creation of custom sketch:
Based on our discussion, we will create a custom sketch that represents how the finished brooch will be constructed. This sketch serves as a blueprint for the final piece, giving you a clear idea of what to expect.
Review and approval:
Once the sketch is completed, it will be sent to you for review. You will have the opportunity to discuss any desired changes or modifications. We want to ensure that every detail is to your satisfaction before moving forward.
Final confirmation:
After any adjustments are made and you are happy with the design, we will ask for your final confirmation of the sketch. Once confirmed, we will proceed with the creation of your brooch, at which point the advanced payment will be required as outlined in our payment policy.
Payment policy
At Santa Mieriiga, we take great care to ensure that your custom brooch is crafted to your satisfaction. To protect our time and materials, the following advanced payment policy applies:
Sketch approval and payment:
After you have received the initial sketch of your brooch and we have discussed any desired details or changes, a 50% advance payment of the total cost is required before work can begin on the final piece.
Purpose of advanced payment:
This payment is necessary to cover the cost of materials, which will be irreversibly used, as well as the time and effort invested in creating your custom brooch.
Non-refundable:
Please note that this advanced payment is non-refundable once work has begun. By making the payment, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Final payment:
The remaining balance will be due upon completion of the brooch, before it is shipped to you.
