Refund policy
Each brooch is specially created based on your submitted pet photograph, making it a unique, one-of-a-kind item. Once an order is placed and the creation process has begun, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. We greatly value your understanding and encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns before placing an order.
Use of finished product images
By ordering a brooch made by Santa Mieriiga, you acknowledge and agree that Santa Mieriiga retains the right to use images of the finished work for marketing, advertising, and portfolio purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, displaying images on our website, social media platforms, and other promotional materials.
Your privacy is important to us, and personal information will not be shared alongside images without your explicit consent. If you prefer that images of your specific work not be used, please notify us in writing at the time of placing your order.
Reference photographs
When submitting reference photos for your brooch creation, please note:
Ownership and permission:
By submitting a photograph, you confirm that the image belongs to you or that you have obtained the necessary permissions from the copyright holder for it to be used in brooch creation. Santa Mieriiga is not responsible for verifying the ownership of submitted photographs.
Use of reference photographs:
We respect your privacy and understand the importance of your pet's photographs. We will not use or share your submitted reference photographs on our website, social media, or for marketing or advertising purposes without your explicit consent. Before using your submitted photographs, we will request your permission in writing.
Lost or stolen packages
We take great care to ensure your order reaches you safely. All packages are sent with tracking information to provide peace of mind and allow you to monitor the delivery process.
Lost packages:
If your package is lost during delivery, we will do everything possible to help locate it. Please contact us immediately if your package is delayed or appears to be lost. We will work with the delivery company to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Stolen packages:
Once a package is marked as delivered, Santa Mieriiga is no longer responsible for its security. If you believe your package was stolen after delivery, we recommend contacting your local police to report the theft. Unfortunately, we cannot replace or refund items that have been stolen after delivery.
Customs and import duties
Please note that when ordering from Santa Mieriiga, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or other charges that may be imposed by your country's customs authorities.
Customs charges:
Customs duties and import taxes vary greatly depending on the destination country and the value of the goods. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping costs, and are the responsibility of the customer.
Customs-related delays:
Occasionally, customs processing may cause delays beyond our control. We recommend that customers familiarise themselves with their country's customs policies before placing an order. Santa Mieriiga is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
Refusal to pay customs duties:
If you refuse to pay customs duties and the package is returned to us, as each brooch is specially crafted for you, we do not provide compensation. You will be responsible for all return and re-shipping costs. We strongly recommend reviewing your country's customs policies and potential charges before placing an order.
Sketch process and approval
We strive to ensure that your special brooch matches your wishes exactly, which is why we follow a detailed sketching process:
Initial consultation:
After receiving your order, we will contact you to discuss your wishes and all the details you want included in your brooch. This helps us understand your preferences and tailor the design to your needs.
Custom sketch creation:
Based on our discussion, we will create a custom sketch reflecting how the finished brooch will look. This sketch serves as the final blueprint, providing a clear idea of what to expect.
Review and approval:
Once the sketch is complete, it will be sent for your review. You will have the opportunity to discuss any desired changes or modifications. Before moving forward, we want to ensure that every detail meets your approval.
Final approval:
Once any adjustments have been made and you are satisfied with the design, we will ask for your final approval of the sketch. Once approved, we will proceed with creating your brooch, which will require an advance payment as outlined in our payment policy.
Payment policy
We take great care to ensure your brooch is crafted with joy. To protect our time and materials, the following payment policy applies:
Sketch approval and payment:
Once you have received the initial sketch of your brooch and we have discussed all desired details or changes, a 50% advance payment of the total cost is required before work begins on the final brooch.
Purpose of the advance payment:
This payment is necessary to cover the cost of materials that will be irreversibly used, as well as the time and effort invested in creating your brooch.
Non-refundable:
Please note that this advance payment is non-refundable once work has begun. By making the payment, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Final payment:
The remaining balance must be paid upon completion of the brooch, before it is shipped to you.
